Statement of Beliefs
We Believe
the 66 books of the Bible to be true, authoritative, and sufficient. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We Believe
there is only one God who eternally exists in three divine yet distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, & God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; John 1:14; 3:16; Acts 5:3, 4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 1:15-20; 2:9; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:4-6)
We Believe
that humanity was created in God’s perfect image but the result of the fall is that we are all sinners by nature and choice and rightly find ourselves under God’s just judgment of physical and spiritual death. (Genesis 1:26-31; Romans 3:10-18; 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:1-3)
We Believe
that the only means of salvation from God’s just judgment is to turn from sin to trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, thereby receiving the gift of God’s grace. (John 3:16; 5:24; 6:35-40; 10:27-30; Romans 8:28-39; Ephesians 1:13, 14; Philippians 1:6; 2 Timothy 2:13; 1 Peter 1:3-9; 1 John 5:11-13)
We Believe
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who was born of a virgin, is both fully God and fully human, who lived the life we could not live and died the death we deserve to die as a sacrificial substitute. (Matthew 1:18— 2:12; Luke 1:30-35; John 1:1-18; 3:16; Romans 3:21-26; 1 Corinthians 12; 15:1-8; Ephesians 1:22, 23; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:15-23; 1 Timothy 2:6; Hebrews 1:1- 13; 4:14-16; 7:25; 10:5-14; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 1:1—2:2)
We Believe
that we exist to be connected to God as a disciple of Jesus Christ and to connect others to God. To be a disciple and make disciples. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-15)
